Smart Earth Sprinklers installed a new control box for us a few years ago. We... called them out again this year for the inevitable sprinkler head repair (oops with the lawn mower). They were out so fast and got everything working again. They also capped off a line that a mature live oak had started to raise by the sidewalk. Will definitely hire them again. These guys are top notch. We had a leak in our sprinkler system caused by a... tree root and it was hard to get anyone to come out. After asking friends, several mentioned Smart Earth Sprinklers and I'm really glad. Justin came out this morning and fixed the issue, he also reviewed everything (our sprinkler system is pretty old) and replaced some broken heads and other parts. Very professional, communicative, polite, had no attitude about keeping the appropriate social distance during covid. Just all around an awesome experience.read more

I will admit that we had tried another company before Smart Earth. That... company was late to the appointment and did not follow through on their promise to send us a quote. So, we shifted to Smart Earth for our sprinkler repair, which ended up being a good move. They have been pretty busy, so we had to schedule a bit out. But they came right on time and communicated throughout the project. Because we had not done any sprinkler repair in several years, several heads needed replacement. They did end up having to return the next day when another problem cropped up when we ran the sprinklers that night. But they worked us in and got the problem quickly remedied. I would highly recommend the guys at Smart Earth!read more

Wow. One of the best companies I’ve dealt with. Needed to have the back... flow device changed as it was leaking. Reached out and they actually had me check something on the valve after sending pictures cause they thought it was not turned correctly. What company tells you the fix over the phone? Not many but this company did. That is what I call outstanding customer service. Fast forward it really was an issue with the ball valve so we scheduled a date to have it replaced. They called me when on the way and they we’re about 10 minutes early to the appointment. The gentleman was super professional and friendly. He explained everything before and after. Gabriel and his team are amazing. Had them come out and do maintenance on my... system which he did quickly and professionally. Replaced broken sprinkler heads and set up a new program for watering. He advised that my system wasn't configured properly, too many heads on too few zones. He wasn't doing installation at the time but recommended several vendors who were. I have recommended him to other family members and they are equally as pleased with his service.read more

Smart Earth installed a smart sprinkler system for us this past November and... the process took two days. Our lot is approximately one quarter acre. The installation went smoothly and was minimally disruptive. We were kept well informed all along the way. I had a comparison experience watching my neighbor's sprinkler install process several years ago so was somewhat familiar going into ours. The test will be over the coming summer. So far we've had adequate rain since the install and we've only needed to use it once. I'm looking forward to not dragging hoses around this summer in 100 degree heat! And I'm sure our water usage will be much more efficient. The operation of the system will be a learning curve for us since it is high tech and we are rather low tech but I'm sure we will catch on. I will add on to this post in the coming months. Thanks for your honesty and professionalism.read more

In doing my homework for getting a new... irrigation system, he took the time to talk with me (not at me) in regards to what would work best for my two specific needs. I believe he offered me the best solution for my project and made himself competitive $$. At time of installation, he and his team were the epitome of professionalism. They left my yard intact with only minimal signs that it had been dug up everywhere only hours before and clearing it of debris. He took the time to review operations and answer my many questions. This company is superb! They are professional, courteous, knowledgeable,... helpful, perseverant and respectful. Gabriel and Tom worked to resolve problems with our older system (we moved into house in 2016), and kept at it until all was working in excellent order. I would never call anyone else after the way they worked to ensure we had everything working right.The also recommended a wonderful plumbing company to put in a pressure valve regulator, which we did not have. So, they assisted us with replacing our old controller with an brand new on at a very good cost. Repaired vales, fixed shorts, replaced add a zone with wiring already in place and did so much more! In all, they saved us lots of money on our watering bill!Don't go anywhere else!read more

My sprinklers were leaking. I called a couple of companies before reaching... Smart Earth. Each of the other companies refused to offer any sort of explanation, only that I had to pay their service fee. Gabriel took the time to answer my questions and suggest a likely cause. I understood it was only a guess based on information provided. I was scheduled a few days later. The tech was very nice, explained everything, and thoroughly checked my system. He found 4 leaks, previously I'd only known of 2. The repairs were done quickly and the system tested again. It was a good experience all around with great customer service.read more

I have to echo the other favorable reviews here to say I had a great experience... with Smart Earth at a reasonable price. Jose came out right on time and was able to diagnose and fix a broken irrigation zone as well as make another small repair. I've had experiences with other companies where someone would show up behaving as though they were doing me a personal favor by bothering to be here, impatient to complete work, and already thinking about traffic to the next stop. Often work would be sloppy.Jose told me Smart Earth performs training for employees so their understanding and skills are at a higher level. Kudos to both Jose and Smart Earth Sprinklers! I am amending my previous review. The company made reparations. They did a... courtesy repair of the hole and pipe in question and it’s much appreciated. Due to their noble response I will use the company again for the major repair I still need done on the sprinkler system. Therefore, I’m changing the initial star rating I gave to 5 since they treat customer satisfaction with high regard.—————————————————————————They came and they did the work we asked. And that’s good. I would have still given them 5 star if they were just courteous and friendly on the phone. However, I found a hole and so I asked if they knew about it. I don’t understand why they were defensive and argumentative. I was just asking if they knew about it since it appeared after they came and took a look at our sprinkler system. Then they had the audacity to accuse me of trying to get a free work done! That wasn’t my intention for calling. I was merely asking if what they did when they came had anything to do with it and if so then they should fix it, if not then it’s a mystery we’ll just need to deal with on a later date since it obviously needs to be fixed before we can use the sprinkler system. And a simple explanation of the work they did should suffice but they were being defensive.read more

I contacted Smart Earth Sprinklers after moving to our new house. The existing... sprinkler system was aged and flawed in many areas. Jose (super nice guy) came out to the house at 7:30am and went straight to work checking each unit in the system. He replaced 3 or 4 broken units and fine tuned the rest for better grass coverage. Overall I couldn’t be happier with my choice to go with these guys. The price was completely reasonable and I will definitely contact them for any sprinkler work in the future.read more

Gabriel displayed the epitome of customer service, professionalism and letting... the work speak for itself. Gabriel takes that extra 5 or 10 minutes, that is so often forfeited, to make sure you are satisfied and knowledgeable about your system and to build the business he cares about. No pressure. No annoying pitches. He just sells what he believes in and knows works. Prompt response (same day) to give an estimate after mulitple attempts through other companies in the area. My wife noted that his crew did NOT give her the "creeps" (ladies). I wouldn't waste any more time than you already have trying to find an irrigation repairman or installer; just call Gabriel with Smart Earth.read more

As first time homeowners, a broken irrigation system in the middle of the Texas... summer is the last thing you want on your on mind but that's exactly what the seller left us with. Our handyman tried to fix it but he wasn't able to correctly diagnose the problem. That's when I called Smart Earth Sprinklers for help.Garbiel and Chris came as scheduled and diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes, literally. Apparently my neighbor popped one of the main supply line for the entire backyard years ago when replacing a fence. I guess the seller just never bothered to get it fixed. In addition, even with a working supply line, there are only 2 working sprinkler heads, again, for the entire backyard. Darn you seller. Either way, Gabriel recommended adding 2 additional heads to get the optimal coverage for the entire lawn. I really appreciated his honest here. He totally could have went overboard and recommended a more complicated plan that would have yielded him more money. But instead, he recommended a plan that's most economical for the customer. Talk about a business with integrity. It took them 2 visits to get everything done -- rerouting the broken supply pipes, raising one of the control valves, adding 2 additional heads to the existing zone, and doing a full maintenance on all the existing heads through readjustment and recalibration. And of course, they made sure to preserve and put back any lawn patches that were dug up.It was a pleasure working with Gabriel and Chris and I would recommend Smart Earth to anyone looking for a irrigation specialist. Not only did they fix our sprinkler system, they also educated us on how to properly maintain the system as homeowners.read more

I called SES a couple of weeks ago and Gabriel (owner) was very polite and... explained that they had a 2 week backlog. I had read some of the reviews out there in Google and Yelp so I said that wasn't a problem. The wait was worth it. Chris stopped by and was very friendly and explained the steps he was going to take in order to determine the problem. After explaining the steps, he went into the pricing. The rates were pretty reasonable (SES has rates on broken pipes, valve replacement, as well as rates depending on the sprinkler heads; some other services are offered). After about 15 minutes, he found the troubled area. I had a broken pipe that separated at an area that was glued before. About an hour later, he was done and showed me how the sprinkler system was working normally again. He also answered a few questions that I had in a very friendly manner. I would definitely recommend Smart Earth Sprinklers. Very friendly and have very reasonable rates. Will do business with them again if something happens with the sprinkler system. In 2013, I had a sprinkler system installed by Gabriel and he did a great job.... We had quotes from several places and his was neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive - just right in the middle and very reasonable. Gabriel worked around our landscaped beds and raised beds, adding drip and micro irrigation where appropriate. I didn't know much about sprinkler systems when we started the process, but I love that he was able to customize everything perfectly for our yard and garden.I would highly recommend Smart Earth Sprinklers. They got the work done quickly and efficiently and at a great price.
